It’s not indebtedness because it doesn’t require you to repay anything in return.
Instead, it’s a warm feeling that makes you feel good.
‘All well and good’ you may be thinking, ‘but what’s gratitude got to do with abundance money blocks?’
Simply put. If not feeling good is the norm for you, eventually you’ll create an imbalance in your body, which will cause a blockage in your vibrational system.
The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like. If you’re not feeling good, guess what? You’ll attract more of what doesn’t make you feel good. It’s impossible to attract abundance in any shape or form if you’re not feeling good.
It makes sense to cultivate and grow an attitude of gratitude doesn’t it. Honestly, once you start, you won’t want to stop. It really is that powerful.
So how do you grow your attitude of gratitude? This is what I did.
I started with an A5 a notebook which I find it easy to slip into my bag, but any size notebook will do. Using a ruler, I drew a line down the centre of each new page, dividing it into two columns.
The first column ‘What I Am Grateful For’ is where I (you’ll), list all the things to be thankful for.
The second column ‘How Does This Make Me Feel?’, is where I (you’ll), note down exactly how I (you), felt in relation to what we’re grateful for.
Here’s a couple of examples from my own Gratitude Journal:
|What I Am Grateful For||How Does This Make Me Feel?|
|1. My vibrant healthy body||I feel alive from the top of my head to the tips of my toes. I feel blessed.|
|2. Chocolate||I feel happy as I bite, and relish each rich mouthful. This is how I want to feel at all times!|
I try to add at least three to five new gratitudes, with how they made me feel, every day.
Having problems finding something to add? Try asking yourself the following questions: ‘Who, or what made me smile today?’, ‘Who, or what inspired me?’, ‘What’s the best thing that happened to me today?’.
Why did I add the second column? Because, it’s the best way I know to recreate those feelings that I want to be in, to enable me to clear any abundance money blocks that I may be harbouring.
I can open my Gratitude Journal any time, day or night, read through it and get back to feeling good about myself. Getting lost in all the things, the places, the people and the actions that I’ve been grateful for at some point, means that whatever was pulling me down gets sidelined.
Shit happens. I’m no different from you, or anybody else. I can handle what life throws my way, because I know that everything passes at some point. The trick is not to try to find a solution when in that dark place.
By reading, and re-reading my Gratitude Journal, I know that my focus is taken to places that make me feel better. It makes me feel centred within myself again. Now’s the time to look for the answers to solving the problem.
Sarah Ban Breathnach in her book, “Simple Abundance: A Daybook of Comfort and Joy”, say’s: “As the months pass and you fill your journal with blessings, an inner shift in your reality will occur.”
Plus, “You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.”
It’s the inner shift in your reality that will turn your life around. It will lead you to clear any abundance money blocks around feelings of indebtedness.
You see, regardless of any debts, or monies owing, you have to feel good to improve your situation. Remember ‘like attracts like’. And more debt is the last thing you want to attract.
It may be a slow journey back to financial well-being, but you’re on your way. You now have two tools to play around with.
Don’t forget to enjoy your abundance, as and when, it arrives. And it will my friend, it will.
